New users logging into the cove.tool platform for the first time will have access to nine example/sandbox projects that will allow them to immediately explore various features of the platform. The projects vary in terms of use type, location, and energy code.

The use types that are available include:

  • Mixed Use Tower: A primarily residential project with an office/retail podium

  • Warehouse: Based on the PNNL typical building prototype for the warehouse typology

  • Airport (Terminal)

  • Campus-Style Multi-Family

  • Hospital: Based on the PNNL typical building prototype for the In-Patient Hospital typology

  • Mid-Rise Multi-Family: Based on the PNNL typical building prototype for the mid-rise multi-family typology

Within each project, users can access all features within their subscription package. Users can access the drawing.tool platform and explore features such as the Assembly Builder; export an OSM file, explore the various analysis available in the 3D analysis feature, create an early-stage embodied carbon profile, and validate design decisions with cost vs. energy optimization. loadmodeling.tool users can also access the loadmodeling.tool platform and explore features such as Ventilation Calculations, Time Series Viewer, and more.

The projects are also easily accessible via the Demo folder on the left-hand side panel, under the Folder List.
