The Project Assemblies section lists the assemblies currently assigned to the building elements. By default, structures that are drawn are assigned energy code minimum assemblies. You can add additional assemblies from the Assembly Library to this section. After adding them, you can return to the geometry interface to assign these new assemblies to your building.

Project Assemblies is the second panel in Assembly Builder, located between the Assembly Library and the Assembly Details panels.

Interface Breakdown

  1. Custom Button:

You can create a new assembly from scratch using this button. It will open a window requesting details for your custom assembly such as assembly type, assembly name, description, and energy code.

When you click "Create" your assembly will appear in the Project Assemblies list for you to edit it further.

  2. Duplicate, Save, and Delete:

Easily manage the assemblies in the project assemblies panel by:

    • Duplicating an assembly to create a copy of the selected assembly and place it at the top of the list.

    • Saving an assembly. This prompts the user to save it in either the 'Firm' or 'Personal' section in the Assembly Library window.

    • Using the Delete option to remove the assembly from the project.

  3. Filter:

Filter the assemblies based on single or multiple assembly categories - Roof, Walls, Floors, Vertical Fenestration (Windows, Curtain walls, etc.), Skylights, Energy Code Minimum, and Generic.

You can link the filtering of Project Assemblies with the Assembly Library for consistent filtering for both panels. If both filters are linked, tags in the assembly library panel will take precedence. You can disable linking by simply clicking on the link icon.

  4. Search:

Search for an assembly using text or numeric values. The search bar looks for values in all fields of an assembly to make it easy to locate.

  5. Assembly cards:

This shows the list of assemblies present in the project and will be available in the elements menu in the Assembly assignment part of the Geometry Interface. You can add assemblies to the project from the Assembly Library or by creating custom ones. Click on an assembly to open it in the Assembly Details Panel where you can review and customize all the product layers and other details.
