The 8 base building types, as seen on the 'Project' setup page, are core to the app's engineering input automation. This article will discuss how some of these automated inputs are based on the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) commercial prototype buildings reference. Read more about the tool's baseline automation and input references in this article.

The following table states which particular PNNL prototype has been referred to and the default system type assigned:

Note for other building types:

Lab: Lab building prototype isn't available within listed PNNL commercial prototypes. The default system type for a lab is 'VAV w/Reheat, with Gas Boiler and Water Cooled Chiller'.
