Heating Set-Point: This is the temperature that the building will be heated to during the occupied hours.

Heating Set-Back: This is the temperature that the building will be heated to during unoccupied hours. According to ASHRAE 90.1 - 2019, heating systems shall be controlled to maintain zone temperatures to an adjustable heating set point at least 10°F below the occupied heating set point with the exception of radiant heating systems capable of and configured with a setback heating set point at least 4°F below the occupied heating set point.

The heating set-point and heating set-back inputs are located on the Baseline page, under the Usage and Schedules tab.

The following table contains the default set-point values set by cove.tool for different building types. These values have been determined after the calibration with respective Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) building prototypes and in accordance with ASHRAE set-back temperature requirements.
