The results from your OpenStudio model are presented as an html file. The report is broken down into 21 sections which can be navigated using the table of contents at the left side. Check this article to learn how to generate the OpenStudio results report.

Model Summary

This section provides high level information such as Building area and Energy Use Intensity (EUI). It also provides tables on building summary, weather summary and renewable energy generation.

Annual Overview

This section consists of a number of pie charts that break down annual consumption by end use and fuel type. As with the rest of the charts throughout the report, hovering over chart elements provides additional information for each breakdown.

Monthly Overview

This section has energy consumption charts by month, fuel, and end use. It will create charts as needed based on fuel types used in the model.

Utility Bills/Rates

This section includes a table showing utility rate by fuel as well as a table that shows process and total energy costs by fuel.

Envelope Summary

This section lists constructions used for base and sub surfaces in the model along with the area, surface count, and R value or U-Factor for the construction.

Space Type Summary

This section provides the internal loads for each space type- People density, Electric power density and Lighting power density.

Interior Light Summary

This section contains one table that lists all lighting instances in the model for each thermal zone.

Plug Load Summary

The Plug Loads summary section is similar to Interior Lighting Summary in that it lists all plug loads. There are two sets of tables, the Plug Load Consumption tables that display annual plug load consumption by thermal zone, and the Space-level Plug Loads that display the space-level Equipment Definitions. There are separate tables for electric equipment and gas equipment, if both types of loads exist in the model.

HVAC Load Profiles

A graph is presented here showing the heating and the cooling loads as well as the outdoor temperatures. You can also view the table with these values by clicking on the button "Monthly Load Profiles - view Table".

Zone Conditions

This section has two tables - one each for temperature and humidity. The tables represent the hours spent in each range for each of the thermal zones in the model.

Zone Overview

This section provides an overview of the geometry, internal loads and the multiplier of the zone. It further provides details about the conditioned space.

Zone Equipment Detail

This section provides details about the equipment, their loads and sizing for the zone.

Air Loops Detail

This section has a table for each air loop in the model. A summary of the number of zones on the air loop along with the floor area of those thermal zones, the range of thermostat setpoint values for both heating and cooling and a list of the types of terminals used on the air loop are available in this section.

Plant Loops Detail

This section has a table for each plant loop providing the description, value and sizing for each category - supply, demand and controls.

Outdoor Air

This section provides the number of occupants, volume, ventilation and infiltration values for the zone.

Site and Source Summary

This section has two tables. First one specifies the site and the source energy. The second one presents the site to energy source conversion factors to calculate values in the first table.

Schedule Overview

This section presents a number of charts presenting an overview of each schedule used in the model. You can expand the table to look at the use counts for each schedule.
