This article describes the steps to model 'only heating' or 'only cooling' system needed for the proposed space.

Only Heating System:

//Step 1

Select the system type that closely matches to the proposed heating system from the dropdown menu. For example, select VAV/Electric.

//Step 2

Increase the cooling set-point and set-back values accordingly till the point where the cooling load is zero. This basically means that the cooling system won’t be turned on because of the higher set-point value. The cooling set-point/set-back can be accessed via ‘Baseline Energy’ > ‘Usage and Schedules’.

Only Cooling System:

//Step 1:

Select the system type that closely matches to the proposed system from the dropdown menu. For example, select DX Split System to model the cooling only split system.

//Step 2:

Decrease the heating set-point and set-back values accordingly till the point where the heating load is zero. This basically means that the heating system won’t be turned on because of the lower set-point value. The heating set-point/set-back can be accessed via ‘Baseline Energy’ > ‘Usage and Schedules’.
