Cooling Set-Point: This is the temperature that the building will be cooled to during the occupied hours.

Cooling Set-Back: This is the temperature that the building will be cooled to during the unoccupied hours. According to ASHRAE 90.1 - 2019, cooling systems shall be equipped with controls capable of and configured to automatically restart and temporarily operate the mechanical cooling system as required to maintain zone temperatures to an adjustable cooling set point at least 5°F above the occupied cooling set point or to prevent high space humidity levels.

Cooling set-point and cooling set-back inputs are located on the Baseline page, under the Usage and Schedules tab.

The following table contains the default set-point values set by cove.tool for different building types. These values have been determined after the calibration with respective Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) building prototypes and in accordance to ASHRAE set-back temperature requirements.
