1. Floor Area: Enter the total floor area in desired units.

   2. Primary Energy Domestic Hot Water: 

           a) Gas: Gas is the primary source of hot water generation for the proposed                         building.
           b) Electric: Electricity is the primary sources of hot water generation for the                         proposed building.

The Primary Energy Domestic Hot Water depends on the DHW Gen. which is under the Building System tab. If you choose "Electric" or "Gas-Boiler, HR-Boiler" as your DHW Gen. input, then your  Primary Energy Domestic Hot Water will be set to Electric or Gas respectively. But, for any other DHW Gen. option the user is free to choose the Primary Energy Domestic Hot Water.

    3. Primary Energy Heating:

            a) Gas: Gas is the primary source of heat generation for the proposed building
            b) Electric: Electricity is the primary source of heat generation for the proposed                  building.

The Primary Energy Heating will be set based on the generation source of the System Type which is under the Building System tab. If a split generation System Type is chosen then the user is free to choose the Primary Energy Heating under the General tab.

    4. Building Location Type:

            a) Country: Sparsely populated areas outside towns and cities.
            b) Suburban: Residential area on the outskirts of a city.
            c) Urban: Metropolitan area with population usually over a million or a city with                  population over a hundred thousand. 

     5. Electricity Utility Rate: Enter the utility rates if it is different from the default value.

     6. Natural Gas Utility Rate: Enter the gas utility rates if it is different from the default           value.
