Your building geometry has already been uploaded to cove.tool, and now you want to run an analysis of the same massing, but in a different orientation. What should you do? Rather then returning to your modeling software to rotate a project and update the geometry export, try this easy fix inside cove.tool!
Inside cove.tool's geometry page, users can rotate their building geometry by using the Rotate Building drop-down menu found at the center of the page. This command allows users to rotate their project by 45 degrees increments. Cove.tool doesn't allow for further detailed degrees outside of the 45 degree increments, because of the insignificant difference a change below 45 degrees rotation would have on the final EUI. This is expanded upon in our White Paper, found here, titled "How do minor orientation changes impact the building EUI?"
